In this video I show how I used a paint edger to speed up the process of repainting my son's bedroom. This quick tutorial also compares how long it takes to paint around trim using a brush vs. using the edger. I found that I can cut in all of the trim and edges about 4 times faster than using a brush. This saved me a lot of time, especially since I needed 2 coats of paint to cover this dark room with a light grey. Feel free to use the links below to find the products I used in this video.

I used one today for the first time. Hand is sore after doing most of a 2BR apartment. One tip with it is to dust any tops of surfaces where you'll be using it, ie: top of door frames, as the wheels can collect dust and later leave track marks in other areas where you use it. That handy pail is a great idea.

At 0.47 you can see the edge doesn't cover all the way to the door trim, you've got to do that portion by hand I guess?

If you paint your door black, not the trim, it will transform the space even more and will complement the surroundings
