Credit to "Imeldo Marcos" for the following comment. It supports everything I say in this video and essentially discredits almost every one of the moron posts in the comment section.

This is a link to an article that has a link to two studies to prove that the afterburn is negligible.

Legend tells, to burn calories, Greg doesn't do cardio, he just makes videos.

Dr Greg was more angry than usual today. Good thing the client didn’t bring up Skinny Pop, that would have definitely put the good Dr over the edge

I always used to run in interval training thinking that was the most effective way to burn the most calories, on most days I burn like ~250cals. Then one day I went on a 6 mile walk with my girlfriend and tracked it and burned ~600 cals. Totally changed my mindset on cardio.

Greg, I owe you so much. I follow your advice, and I am losing weight with no stress or binge eating. Hit cardio and fasting too long, is how I ended up binge eating and putting 40 lbs back on. Dude know he be hungry as hell after that HIT. people keep acting like they ain't hungry as hell after HIT. I just follow Greg, and the weight steadily comes off, and I am not hungry nor am I exhausted. I walk at least 4 miles a day (often alot more) and that doesn't include all the walking I do around the house, which is constantly cause I don't like to do anything sitting down or keeping still that I don't have to. My body is looking curvy now and belly shrinking super fast and I still eat french toast and popcorn (not skinny pop) . 🤣

This morning I was reading an article about how Lizzo is not obese and that obese people are healthy based on BMI, and I got angry explaining how BMI is bullshit and how Greg would be considered morbidly obese...then I realized I turned into Dr. Doucette

For fat loss I completely agree. For 'fitness' though I think high intensity sessions AND steady state can help.
I'm military and we do thinks like 400m-800m sprints to improve our run time over 1.5-3 miles +. Even threshold training. This means when you do your LISS you can travel faster and further due to improved CV.

My doctor has been walking since he came out the womb
I trust him on that one.

I personally like doing LISS, I usually either watch 1 or 2 episodes of my favorite shows or animes while jogging/running on the treadmill or when I’m outside I listen to my favorite music

With steady state, as your body loses weight and becomes fitter, your perceived effort won't change, but your pace will slowly increase, or you'll be able to add more volume. Using steady state, I lost 70lbs 2022. All I did was jog. Zone 2 training at an 80/20 split. (80% of the volume was zone 2/20% was high intensity, mostly just hill repeats because hill-work IS speed-work in disguise.) I came across Coach Greg a couple of months ago when I was looking for the final say-so on HIIT vs LISS. I went from an hour and twenty minutes for five miles to ten miles in an hour and forty-five minutes in one season, June through November. This winter, thanks to Coach Greg's videos and advice, I've started weight training, to boost my running. I'm dieting better and cutting even more. I'm down from what was surely 35-40% BFI in June to around 19% now. Steady state is the only way to run. VERY LOW on the perceived effort scale. A light jog. Like you're trying to catch up with a group of friends just ahead of you. Something you think you could do forever, but more than just walking.

I like mixing it up. HIIT is good when I am short on time. Liss is good when I have the time
