The ability to stack fasters mades a huge role here. While i think theyr damage and survivability is the same, looks like speed is key

So we have established that faster and more "stacking" units can beat stronger and harder hitting units. Macemen beat assasins, assasins beat swordsmen, so the question is: would macemen beat swordsmen? That would have far-reaching consequences, as macemen are a lot cheaper and faster, thus possibly eliminating swordsmen from offensive roles.

AFAIK swordsmen are still useful defending towers against assasins.

Well mace will win cause maceman's special ability is his mobility where assassin's ability is climbing walls and become invisible(which is very unnecessary)

How are you able to select 1000 units at once? I'm pretty sure my game lets me move only up to around 300 units at once.
