Love old farmall tractors. My first tractor was a farmall A and I built a 3 point hitch on it copied off a 8n ford used a ford powersteering pump for the hydraulic lift. She pulls 3 14 in plows good.

Tandem tractors like this 400/M Farmall were paired up in the 1960’s and early 1960’s to get more tillage power while saving labor. The 39 hp M and 51 hp 400 teamed up offer 90 hp. The 400 was the big IH row crop from 1954-1956 at 51 hp. The two tractors together could pull a bigger plow together rather than running two plows separately. In the 1960’s 100 hp row crop tractors and 150 hp 4wd tractors ended the need for tandem tractors.

My grandpa had a H and M farmall....the M was a monster when i was a kid. But i enjoyed driving the H .

We did the same with Molines an pulled 2 15 ft one way an a 12 ft one way in front of the wheat drills
