@4:02 if you use the Pythagorean identity in terms of sec^2, you can find dθ/dt in terms of stuff you already know without having to calculate anything else about the triangle.
Although I must admit the way you solved it was more clear and more pedagogically valuable than making said substitution. Carry on. 👽
