A piece of advice from someone who has seen the miracles of Istighfar with their own eyes and who will testify in front of Allah on that Day of its impact on my life: don’t make it a mechanical numbers game. It’s far better to dedicate a small portion of your day (5 mins even) and say the Istighfar with hudur Al qalb (presence of heart). May Allah accept all of your dua’s and acts of worship, grant you the best of this world and even better in the next. And may Istighfar become a means of closeness to Him (swt).

It does work...i went from an an extremely angry, resentful person who had been hurt a lot by someone. From a self destructive person.. to a patient person. Everything in my life felt peaceful.I wasn't triggered the way I used to be.I for some reason felt so happy that at 1 point I cried because I could not recognise myself.I could not recognise this new person.However I loved it. Issue is, I went travelling for 6 weeks and lost this beautiful habit. The beauty i gained disappeared.
So i am trying again. I want that peace.
