Multiple Dash Lights Coming On With Check Engine Light-Easy Diagnosis

In this video, I tell you about multiple dashboard lights coming on at the same time. This is something that you will see happening in many modern cars, and I wanted to talk about it in this video. The specific reason that this happens is because all of the car's systems work together. If one fails, then the other systems don't have the required information to work properly, so they fail as well. The good thing about this is that when you fix the main problematic system, you will likely fix the other ones as well.

My 2017 MDX had all the warning lights come on as well. Couple days ago low tire pressure lights came on the driver side front and rear tires. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the passenger side and only filled pressure on driver side tires. About 3 days later, all the warning lights came on. I was pissed and started researching online. Came across this video because I didn’t think it was the initial low tire pressure that caused the warnings. After filling the passenger side tire pressure (which was at 29) and making sure all 4 tires were 35. I turned the car on and off couple of times and most of the warnings went away. Collision mitigation remained so I went for a short drive and that cleared as well!! I’m so happy it wasn’t a costly repair.

It’s called the controller area network or CAN for short. All the control units in a modern vehicle communicate on the system back-and-forth between each other. When there’s a problem with one, often times it can trigger a universal code in the system and cause multiple warning lights to come on.

Takes 4 minutes to say that one problem may cause mutiple warning lights to come on with no indication as to why. If you fix the one problem the lights will go away but unfortunately there is no way given to tell which is the source problem. Don't waste your time on this,

Have a question, the car was on the drive, but the dashboard lights were showing up, so that, made the car stop immediately. The sign then said to move from the P position to the D (drive position) which I did, but did not start it. Could it be the engine was fully not ready or did I have to restart the car? Just making sure that this doesn't happen on the driving test...

Im in the same boat my 2014 toyota corrola starts but wont change shift along with steering wheel stuck. All lights on dashboards are all on . Waiting for an electrical mechanic to check vehicle out.

All of this happened to me today just because I put new Low profile tires on my car & no one knew what what I should do, till I went too aVance & they ran diagnostics on my car !! It's all because of valve stem sensors needed too be reset FYI. Pass it on

Thanks I have a 2014 Hyundai sonata hybrid and all the dash lights are on, car wont start ( already new battery 10 days ago ) and I’m terrified it’s going to be big bucks 😱but at least after watching your video I can hope it may be just one tiny sensor 😩 because car things make this lady so upset !

Thank you so much for your explanation of why I’ve got five lights on and only one fuse blown that’s a real seems to be on related to the panel lights coming on but I’m going to change that when my brother will change the Fuse and see if the lights will go off!
