Dang that ending hit hard. Some alien civilization lightyears away watching our star notices something strange happening over a couple months and then poof. Back to normal sun. They'd probably never know they just witnessed and entire civilization of 7 billion inhabitants get snuffed out by the same star that helped give life to the planet.

I went to a Lutheran school growing up. In 6th grade they showed us a film of how the earth would ultimately end. People would put blankets on top 9f blankets on their windows and move to the most central space in home to stay cooler. It never helped. Whether nuclear heat, solar heat and/or fires....we are headed in that direction. I'm almost 60. Now, I remember that film like I saw it yesterday. We were terrified when they showed it to us. I'm getting that same feeling lately. We all need to repent NOW.
