Hamood Habibi Origins - The Definitive 8K Remaster

Показать описание
This is only 18 seconds and this took like 10+ hours to render on my potato lol
"3D animation. Kids just love it, especially if their pet name is Hammoud ;)
Hammoud! Hammoud!
Hamoud habeebee (= dear) Hammoud
Goum eg'ad men ennoama (Get up)"
-Tahloube S
The original (known) upload of Hamood Habibi on YouTube from March 4th, 2007 by user Tahloube S remastered to a new level of quality without sacrificing its original essence. An animation originally created by Muhammad Ghaloum. Hammoud/Hamood Habibi is an 18 second animated CG that depicts a kid dancing and singing calling to Hammoud, alongside a common nickname for Hammoud, Hamadi, calling them their habibi as a term of endermeant.
This is an 8K remaster that aims to be as close to the original animation while remedying its originally choppy framerate and ridiculously low resolution of its original upload. Granted we are handling a decades old animation here that's literally at 144p, and there's only so much you can do when you don't have the original render to work with. Thankfully AI and video production have advanced nicely over the recent times and at least so far, this is the best we can get outside of getting the original animated render or a faithful recreation from scratch.
Unlike the original "HD 60FPS" one I've uploaded previously, this isn't using someone else's looped version, and there's no contrast/color adjustments nor any sharpening applied, and it's using a far better and cleaner AI algorithm both for upscaling and framerate interpolation. Over the years I've grown to appreciate more on the fact of intended framerates, and I feel like just artificially boosting things to 60fps or more without taking into context of the animator's intentions can ruin the overall animation. So instead of that, what I did is take into consideration of the original 11fps upload, and multiplied that by four times for a cleaner 44fps, reducing any smearing artifacts and weird timing glitches. If you watch this on 480p 30fps, it's even closer to the original upload but without the ridiculous compression artifacts and choppy framerate.
