M57 RING NEBULA | A fantastic nebula in Lyra | LIVE VIEW PHOTOGRAPHY THROUGH TELESCOPE

Показать описание
The Ring Nebula or Messier 57 is a nebula in the constellation Lyra. It is a Brilliant target for all size telescope, beginners and advanced amature astronomers alike, throughout the year. it passes over head during summer, but has begun to rise high in the east in after midnight. It is a fantastic target for the nice spring nights, for both visual observation and astrophotography, I used my 8 inch Newtonian with the Panasonic Gh5 to gather the data for the live view as well as the light frames for the photo. I ran at 400 ISO 180 sec sub frames over 2 separate sessions.
Visual observing is easy once you locate it and rewarding with this target as it is a great test of seeing conditions, and you can really tease out detail as you get familiar with it over the months and years. it is possible to resolve the centre star on a great night of seeing. with a bit more aperture the smoke ring becomes really prominent. with my 12 inch I was able to increase to use x200 on it and it still holds up well, showing up the lovely smoke ring shape.
I hope that these videos can give you an idea of how the night sky can look at the eyepiece of a 200 PDS, 200p, 300p flextube or any 200mm 8 inch or 300mm 12 inch reflector telescope and using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. I find when trying to purchase a telescope, it is hard to find out what you can see through the eyepiece .
