ATCO SpaceLab Speaker Series, Season 1, Episode 5: Understanding Extreme Climate Events

Dr. Valerio Lucarini from the University of Reading discusses extreme climate phenomena and the factors and patterns that exist in these phenomena, as well as the current understanding and the possibility of predicting these extreme events from the fundamental laws they follow. Dr. Lucarini focuses explicitly on the principles of physics, meteorology, and mathematics and how they can help us adapt to and mitigate some climate risk.
