TELL ME WHY you would trust someone who doesn’t love God to tell you about God?

John 14:15, 23-24 KJV
[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments. [23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

I've had my numerous share of distrust in pastors or overseers...but I refuse to say that ALL PASTORS AREN'T TRUSTWORTHY. So discernment is crucial.

I encourage anyone who is offended by this man's message to do a word study of the word "Grace" in the Old Testament. H2580. Then search just for H2580. Find out what Grace really is. Is it unmerited? God bless those truly searching for truth, and those that show faithfulness not just faith. As our Saviour is "the Faithful and True Witness."

It is our individual duty to seek God wholeheartedly. To study to show ourselves approved. To rightly divide the word of truth! When we make Gods word our delight, and the Holy Spirit has taught us His truth, we are given discernment to know what is true, and what has been twisted. The word of God declares the appointment of those in the church. Eph. 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
I agree we are not to be followers of man, but followers of Christ. And we should only follow as they follow Christ. Only in the truth of His word. Which we are commanded to seek out and prove all things! Never should a pastor be put on a pedestal which many do. Which I once did, and was once deceived by! However, I was born again in a church service, by a pastor speaking the word of God, who later I found to not be walking himself in the truth of Gods word. It is not the righteousness of a pastor or any man, that causes us to repent and believe the gospel! It is Gods word that does not come back void! That accomplishes what He sends it out to accomplish! I have known many, who now are walking in Gods truth, and and have a good understanding in his word, and the fear of God in their hearts, who came to the Lord by someone inviting them to a church! Although there are many pastors who have not been called, or anointed by God, who many are being deceived by, as the word of God declares would happen. There are still those who are called, and anointed by God, and put in that position by God! Saying to not attend any church, (public gathering) is not biblically correct. How can we help any who are being led astray, if we who have Gods truth, and are able to discern Gods truth from error, separate our selves from them, and leave them to the wolves to be devoured? We are called to love the brethren, and to lay down our lives for them, as Christ laid down his life for us! We are not to separate ourselves, but to be the church by word and deed! We are to be all things to all men, that some might be saved! Yes, there are many pastors who are leading many astray, who are following them into the ditch! But there are also those who have been called and anointed by God to be pastors, just like David was anointed by God to be king, like Paul was chosen, and anointed by God to be an apostle to the gentiles! We can not put all in a single category! We that are mature in the Lord, have the duty to be there for those who have not matured yet! To help guide them, and love them in the right path! In Christ’s Love!

The naysayers here need to understand that what Colin is saying, is EXACTLY what the Bible says, almost word for word.
_6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; _*_NO ONE WHO KEEPS ON SINNING HAS EITHER SEEN HIM OR KNOWN HIM._*_ 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 _*_WHOEVER MAKES A PRACTICE OF SINNING IS OF THE DEVIL, _*_ for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: _*_WHOEVER DOES NOT PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, _*_ nor is the one who does not love his brother._ (I John 3:4-10, ESB)

God's righteous book says:
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. AND IF ANYONE SINS, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1Jn 5:16  If anyone sees his brother COMMITTING A SIN not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.

No matter what you do, or don't do, as long as You live, you will never be perfect...(if you are trying to be perfect, it is futile.)

When you are saved you are righteous. Romans 4:22-26 "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood- to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus." Once you are saved you are justified before God. People still sin after salvation. David prayed to God to restore to him the joy of his salvation after be committed adultery with Bathsheba. He didn't pray for his salvation to be restored because he didn't lose it, just the joy.

What’s your opinion on Pastors that cause people to leave churches that act like Cults and/or cause people to fall away from God and then tells everyone they left for “Petty Preferences?” (Gossip)
