Serious Sunday: MT-32 Mix Tape - A selection of classic PC MIDI game intros on the Roland MT-32

This week on Serious Sunday, Luke pays tribute to the memory of Ikutaro Kakehashi, founder of Roland Corporation, co-founder of the MIDI standard, Technical Grammy Award winner & creator of the MT-32, the amazing musical machine that made MIDI in the 1990s sound beautiful and clear. Passed away April 1st, 2017, his legacy is one of amazing digital music that defined an age. This week's Serious Sunday is a musical montage of some of Luke's Favorite DOS classic PC game intros as they sounded on Roland hardware.

Serious Sunday is a freeform, sometimes roundtable discussion between the members of Level 0 NPCs, where a specific topic is pre-selected by the group to be explored and discussed at length. I bought a Soundblaster at Radio Shack for the clearance price of $99. That change from PC speaker was bigger to me than any other advancement ever lol. VGA was kinda nice too. I remember playing something called Canyon.mid in the Windows files later on just because it was there.

Oh snap PQ2, this was one of the two first games I remember using the sound card with. From what I recall this does sound different & better than the SB.
