AFC Bournemouth Do Not Have A Striker 😳

The Cherries and Andoni Iraola have got an injury CRISIS. Truth be told, we’ve had one for a quite a while - but because Iraola is a master of his trade, no-one has been talking about it, with AFCB going on an unbeaten run of eight games in the Premier League.

Yesterday, news was announced that Evanilson fractured his metatarsal and therefore will be out for 2 months, and today, it has been revealed that his understudy, Enes Unal, has torn his ACL in training.

Where do we go from here? Does Foley stick or twist?

Trying to think of a suitable Supertramp album title for this. Even In The Quietest Moments, Crime of the Century, Breakfast In America - none of those. I’ve got it…. Bournemouth have 33 points. The spread betting companies are offering Ipswich to finish third bottom on 31-32.5 points. So the first task is done at the turn of the year. It would be great to get to the Conference league, a good fit for the club, but if it doesn’t happen this season has already provided some great memories.

Classic dilemma; short term need v long term stability. I feel that in the past (under Maxim's reign) we focused a bit too much on squad over infrastructure. Given the fact that Kerkez's stock is high and Soler is ours (though potentially not ready for the first team), could an earlier exit by Kerkez be offset against a higher calibre striker arrival. Personally, if we get Sini, Tav and Scott back, I feel we'd have enough in the tank to do ok for the remainder of the season with our existing squad, especially with the hope Eva could be back for the last few games. May need to postpone hopes of Europe though.
