Meet my Japanese Mini Bus RV - 1993 Toyota Coaster Motorhome

Tour my 1993 Toyota Coaster Mini Bus that was converted into a motorhome when it was fresh off the assembly line. I am the first US owner of this rig as it was recently imported into the states from Japan.

The plan for this bus is to finish cleaning up the interior, perform some routine maintenance, and get it on the road! Some rebuild projects will come further down the line.

How long should I enjoy this rig as-is before working on interior updates?

Hello, I'm Ken.
I was the owner of this camper when it was in Japan.
I'm very happy to see it in action overseas, far away from Japan.
I've owned it for about 24 years and have always maintained the engine and other parts to make it last longer.
Is the engine running well? A special device called "JVSC" is attached to the muffler end, which improves fuel efficiency and increases power.
An expensive special magnesium magnet is attached to the engine's fuel pipe to improve fuel efficiency and power.
Rotating vanes are installed in the turbine intake manifold to improve turbine efficiency.
As a result, it has better fuel efficiency and more power than a normal engine vehicle.
It is an old bus, but please rest assured that it has been inspected and maintained at a factory that maintains commercial buses.
The tires are designed to be able to run on light snow.
I'll be watching the buscon's future activities from Japan.

やまバス、いままでありがとう。
1HD-Tよ、異国の地でも力強く!
新しいオーナーさんに大切にしてもらえる事を願っています。

I'm actually planning to import a Japanese camper, for now however; I will be building out a cargo trailer, ill be saving up after to import either a bus or a smaller Japanese motorhome, i just like the design more. Compared to what is found in the US.

How does it do on the highway? I'm looking for a T1N Sprinter for a long range family hauler... but kinda want one of these if I can find one. They're not too common in the US.

There is also the possibility that there is a door opening button under the body near the door.

How long does it take to coast up to 60mph (100kph?)? And how comfortable is it coasting at 65-70mph? Fuel economy?

Nice videos. Just subbed. One thing though & this is just a friendly criticism. Is there any chance you could work on dropping the dozen and dozens of times you say Umm & Ermm per video. Not trying to be an arse hat its just an opinion & you know wot they say about them & Bum holes. . Great videos & am looking forward to the next shop update 👍

Did you convert this from the 100V Japanese system to a 120V? I'm in the middle of purchasing one and this was a concern for me.
