Police Union Threatens Quentin Tarantino

Director Quentin Tarantino has been critical of police using excessive force, and this has incurred backlash from police organizations. The head of the Fraternal Order of Police said he has a "surprise" for Tarantino when his new movie, The Hateful Eight premiers. “The head of the Fraternal Order of Police said he has a "surprise" for filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Jim Pasco, executive director of the largest U.S. police union, offered the creepy statement Thursday to The Hollywood Reporter, vowing to get back at the "Pulp Fiction" director for comments decrying police brutality at a rally last month.

Pasco wouldn't give details, but promised the union will "be opportunistic" with the surprise some time before the premiere of Tarantino's new film, "The Hateful Eight."

"Something is in the works, but the element of surprise is the most important element," Pasco said. "Something could happen anytime between now and [the premiere]. And a lot of it is going to be driven by Tarantino, who is nothing if not predictable."

If Quentin Tarantino said he had a "big surprise" waiting for a cop, he'd be arrested and thrown in jail.

The militarization of the police is a problem. Problem 2: They don't have the same training as soldiers. Which is a very big problem.

What some people seem to forget is that the police are public servans, which implies that they should be prepared to put themselves in harm's way in order to protect citizens. Don't want to be placed in situations that might be potentially dangerous? Don't become a cop. It's part of the job description. And praise be to those officers out there who do understand that and do truly try to help their communities.

Jimmy Dore is hilarious! He hit the nail right on the head in this video. So many police officers must have forgotten they're civil servants. There are way too many power-hungry bullies and murderers in the police force. Tarantino better fight back.

It's crazy what happens south of my border. When an armed gunman stormed parliament hill in Ottawa: he shot and killed a guard and was charging through the building, the RCMP STILL said "put down your gun!" before shooting.
