Update to Work Requirements in Wisconsin’s FoodShare Program

Effective October 1, 2024, the age range for who is subject to a work requirement in the WI FoodShare program is changing. It’s a slight adjustment, and the third change since September 2023. The change is attributed to the “2023 Fiscal Responsibility Act” passed by Congress. In Wisconsin, able bodied adults without dependents who do not qualify for a work requirement exemption will be subject to a work requirement in FoodShare if they are age 18-54 (previously, 52). We explain.

😃...but if you work 80 hours you would be making too much to qualify so what is the point of that
just say its only for the disabled and elderly?
