Valcrum Axle Hub Caps Overview, Installed, 5k Review

Giving the Valcrum caps a try. I would definitely recommend them over the plastic ones in a heart beat. I'm not real wild about the price but they do come with a piece of mind knowing they won't crack or strip the threads. Probably a must have for any hot shot trailer that goes over the road.

Got mine ordered today. Will see if I end up with the same problem. Has to be better than broken plastic.

I’ve had guys drop the wheel on them before when changing a tire and crack the plastic, then I’m stuck until I get a new cap. I will be investing into these

Those center rubber caps will start to get harden after constant heating and cooling and eventually they will fail allowing gear oil to leak out and water to get in. Not a big deal just keep extra rubber plugs and you'll be good. I'm always changing them out on Semi's here in AK when they come through for service.

The little pinhole in the cap looks as though it is acting as a check valve. The way the oil is splattering it appears its coming out of the pinhole.

bought me some also. Having same problem its actually pretty bad makes a mess! Thats ridiculous for such expensive caps they couldnt put some nice rubber plugs. I will have to try putting the old rubber plugs off my plastic ones.

I think you should call the company tell them they do get wet with oil. The original caps are dry. Thanks

Thanks for the video because i saw these @ local trailer parts place here in Houston, Tx. I thought to myself is it worth buying lk 7 months ago . The split in the red hub cap is to relieve pressure from hubs warming up. You see this on the 15k/16k axles more often. Yes we all get a lil grease that slings out off them. I've gad hub caps blow off, so I hv extras in my truck.

I saw on open hole in the end of the cap when you was showing them. That is where your leak is bad design or there is a reason for it I would call the manufacturer and ask, then let us all know. Good video thanks for the info.
