Great video Spatry!! I made it through, and I learned many things along the way. One thing I did struggle with early, was the makepkg command after downloading Alsi to my /home/Downloads folder. It would not work, no matter what I tried. Error I kept getting had to do with permisisons on the folder. So I made a NEW folder (named it "Installs") re-downloaded to that folder, and all worked just fine. So I thought that perhaps the xdg-user-dirs way of installing the Home directory folders might have some sort of permissions associated with them that would prevent the makepkg from happening. You had mentioned in 06 CLI Friendly (after shoutout to Matthew Moore with the "I love candy" entry haha) that you typically install the directory folders yourself, so in that way your Downloads folder does not have any special permissions restrictions. I might try deleting the Downloads folder made with the xdg-users-dirs, and seeing if my theory holds up. Thanks again! Looking forward to more in the future.

EDIT: I just did what I said xdg-users-dirs created Downloads directory, created another one myself, and then downloaded Yay again, extracted the file, changed directory, and BOOM!! makecfg worked like a charm :)

Quite not sure, but I think using -c after makepkg makes it automatically download the dependencies while making the package

Thanks. I tried, not your fault. Took me forever to get wireless, rt8812au. BTW, I have no access to wired. Same USB works on most disros at start. 4 years on linux. Noobie old fart. I must say though, I am using your theme on my MX-18. My goto is linux lite, since 2.0. 3 hdd's in an old POS from 2013. Boot Repair tool set up since forever, lol.. MX 18 crashed, reboot to Linux Lite 4.2. Boot Repair. All is well. I am 65, lol, aint got time for that mess. That being said, I will try yours again. It worked fine for a few days, Always trying to learn.
