Thinking about this for a second -

1) Vaccine rollouts in countries like South Africa is low compared to other parts of the world

2) Therefore these countries have only had one option, namely natural immunity

3) Data (thus far) show the effects of the latest variant to be lower in terms of severity i.e. similar to a cold (minor impact to many, major impact to the infirm / immunocompromised)

4) Perhaps this impact will be different in other parts of the world, where vaccine uptake is much higher(?)

Hypothesis:

A) The “vaccine” is only concentrating on looking at the certain elements of the spike protein (which is mutating as a result of both natural immunity as well as these partial vaccines).

B) The “vaccine” is not able to trigger the full spectrum of t / b cell response (something much more likely via natural immunity).

Conclusion(?):

By trying to prematurely end this pandemic, using partially effective vaccines, we are potentially just extending the suffering.
