Which is the best month to travel in Switzerland in winter? In Switzerland we consider the months December, January and February as our winter. Although they are all different, they all have their advantages. This is that in December, there is a great Christmas mood, in January you can often experience winter wonderland and in February you are able to enjoy the snow with warmer temperatures and often sunshine! As there are holidays in Switzerland in December and February, it turns out that in January you can score the best deals out of the three.

I love your video! It's clear, informative, and to the point. I'm Indonesian and planning to go on winter holiday in Switzerland, but we have never experience winter snow before, so I'm a bit concern about the cold. But from your explanation I can decide we should go in February. Can still experience snow but the it's not too cold. Thank you very much, Sir 🥰🥰🥰

Great video with wonderful winter footage, Greg. I think as a pedestrian I will choose February if I have a chance to revisit the beautiful Switzerland. Cheaper, right? Thanks Greg for sharing! Bis bald 👋

Thanks for the informative video! I really enjoyed it and lived the scenery! Your descriptions of the snow levels and weather was helpful too.

My husband and I are going to spend 3 weeks in France this December, and in part of it we're going to be near the Swiss alps and along the Switzerland border (annecy & chamonix, france. although we're just beginner, novice snowshoer/skiers, not pros) and then off to the German border (colmar, france). However just today it occurred to me that we could drive through Switzerland/germany, without much extra time, and even make a day of it. Do you have any input or advice about this? What are the cutest towns along the border, do you know?

Otherwise we were planning on spending 3 weeks just exploring France- paris, Normandy, dordogne/Languedoc regions, South of France (provence), then annecy and chamonix in the alps, colmar in alsace region, and back to Paris. Boating, biking, walking, and some snow play! More interested in small towns, less sy scrapers etc. 3 days in some places, 5 days in others. Spending more time in annecy & colmar because I love the half timbered houses & the mountains! Looking mostly for outdoorsy or cultural activities, and cultural folk museums, but not so interested in Renaissance art, mansions etc.

If you have any input, thanks in advance! If not that's ok too. Cheers 🍻

Hello, how are you, the video is extremely helpful, thank you! I want to ask you, I am planning to visit Switzerland in January, but I don't know which date is the best, is it from 10-20 January or from 20-31 January, I want Switzerland to be completely covered in snow, and I want to see heavy snowfall, I really wish to see the snowfall! And skiing and winter activities, which date do you recommend in January? Which period is completely white and it snows heavily, and one last question, suggest me some cities that are very charming, completely white, mountainous and rural? Thank you and I hope for a reply😊

Hi, Thanks for your videos. They're helpful and informative. I'll need to visit Switzerland for sometime next year during winters. I'm curious how do people manage during cold, since I'm allergic to smoke produced from firewood, hence, would like to know if it's common to use firewood in Switzerland. Also about the air quality (PM10, NOx, NH3, etc. emission levels and their impacts). Can you please add these in your next video? Will be awaiting your next video : )
