Sir!!! I am into week 1 of my LU MA-131 Calculus. Sincerely, I appreciate your videos more than you know. I am definitely going to seek you out for my future math classes if you teach online. I am not a spring chicken and have not been in a college math class in more than 19 years.

So if one output is included on the left but not the right as x approaches it, why does the domain not exist? Couldn't it be written in interval notation such that (-infinity, -1] u (-1, 1) u (1, 4) etc, not sure how it would look in the function as it would seem that 1 input on the left does not satisfy the same output as an input on the right. but you still graphed and the domain still is visible.
