FORGET SCALES!!

Any melody you play is going to be part of some sort of scale automatically regardless of how you are thinking. I show you the technique of MELODIC DEVELOPMENT, so you can play what you hear FIRST, and then go back later and worry about what to name it relative to scale/tonality later. Doing things in this order allows you to use any scale you want any time you want without having to think about it AT ALL while you are trying to develop a melodic story. (tip: the chords ARE the scales and the scales ARE the chords....not "WHAT SCALE DO I PLAY OVER THIS CHORD?")
