If you want a huge dent in the deficit then repeal the tax cuts and tax the rich. They are the ones who can afford it. That is where the money is at. That is who it affects the least. And, that is who is not paying their fair share of taxes.

Republicans voted to cancel the 87K IRS agents back In January to only cave during the debt ceiling negotiations. Speaker McCarthy negotiated to cut $1.7Billion from the $80Billion IRS bill. Completely DISGUSTING!! Pray the house republicans block this bill.

They need to get rid of the debt ceiling, as this is just an obstacle every time it comes up. If the (Trump and other Presidents before him) GOP hadn't given tax cuts to the wealthy and corporate lobbyists, we would probably be looking at a surplus. Borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.

Imagine if the bill said to continue the tariff war and cut wealth tax while increasing spending to build the great wall of the USA. I'm sure politicians will all be saying yes that is how we fix our debt problems

The only thing I don’t like is stripping the IRS of funding. That was a rich man’s hand out. No issues with work requirements for social services up to age 54. The disabled and people with children were exempted. More than reasonable.
