My Enyaq IV80x is my 5th BEV & my best so far, I'm based in Dublin we frequently drive to Belfast & back on a single charge. I'm off to France tomorrow towing a box trailer, did the same thing a year ago. Last October we did 800+ km on a single journey with one 30 minute top-up charge on the way. The car has done 25, 000km stress free in my first year with the car.

This is the type of review that is actually useful. Thanks Marek.

One of the most realistic reviews about electric cars…..while all the others are praising excessively the EV your reviews are fair highlighting both the pros and cons of EV…..for somebody leaving in a city charging an EV is a challenge if you do not leave in a house where u have the possibility to have the EV charged overnight.

Thank you for reviewing the Skoda Enyak. I had decided that it was the better VW group's EV of choice because of several key features that it doesn't share with it's other cousins. First is avoiding the stupid 2 buttons for 4 windows on the door. The other, is making a tray out of the hole under the centre console, thus making it more usable than the ID4 hump. Finally, the steering wheel's buttons are exactly that. Buttons. In the ID4, with my clumsy fingers, I would be constantly, inadvertantly, turning something on/off and that could maybe be dangerous!

this is in my opinion the best looking electric SUV on sale, I like how boxy and no-nonsense it looks

I didn't know about this channel before but I must say it checks all boxes. Superb job.

Great review Marek. I think it's a lovely looking car. If I were to go EV in the future, if would probably be VW or skoda.

To be fully reliable you should share the photo from main screen with energy consumption on your trip

Marek, I get the impression that you are not that keen on the latest batch of EVs - though I may be wrong. How about a post from you on your thoughts about the state of the motor industry on its electrification journey? As one of your keen subscribers, I would be interested in your general views....

Boot gesture control may be the greatest practical joke ever created. Hats off to all the manufacturers out there for sticking together and never revealing it was all in the name of entertainment.

Great review Marek, thank you for posting, I’m a huge Škoda fan, I do love the Enyaq, however such an eye watering price, coupled with nearly every ‘simply clever’ feature a paid for option, does not deliver the value for money ethos most seasoned Škoda owners are accustomed to, I think I will stay with my humble Fabia, for now at least!!❤️.

This is why you have to learn about how EV battery works. Watch some Bjørn Nyland videos, especially 1000km challenges, he explains there how to optimize EV trip. You should never charge during the road trip to more than what is needed to get to next fast charger. This way your charging stop will take as long as it takes you to do toilet and coffee routines, not more. 10 to 20mins max. Driving style and habit has to change. It is not a diesel to drive from full tank to the empty and then fill up to full again. But then most of normal persons don't drive for 4 or 5 hours without stop. So for most of family trips it is even better to have more short stops and hit the road again, than to sit in the car until everyone goes crazy.

...great review, I suggest you try to charge a tablet on the back seats, set a climate temp as in the front if the car has back climate control and use for some time during the test the heated seats in the front, as well as any perk we use in ICE cars normally, without trying to 'save energy'....thumbs up!...

Nice review. I test drove the Enyaq 2 days ago. Great looking and driving car. I have to chose between this, XC40 recharge or the Ioniq5

I like the car. It has much going for it - except perhaps the price. I would like it to have the dark green color option found on Octavia VRs. It looks so good with black rims.

I like the interior in these compared to the id3. What I like even more is that my B8 Passat still has the AC vents where they’re supposed to be and not pointing at your elbow. I’d rather look down at the infotainment screen.

Considering wltp testing is in 23 degrees Celsius with an average of around 47km/h that range is to be expected at 140. EVs are not made for those speeds.
