Frédéric Chopin - 2024 new discovered Waltz in A minor. This long-lost waltz was discovered in the vault of the Morgan Library in Manhattan and is thought to be nearly 200 years old, dating back to the 1830s, when the composer was in his 20s.🕸️

This is the only recording which conviced me that it really is Chopin's artwork. The tempo is perfect. I hear Chopin, not ultra-sped-up Rachmaninoff... I hear the soul and tenderness of the pianist, carefully bringing back to light the forgotten masterpiece, which has been covered by dust and darkness for centuries... I hear love, tragic love, and incredible inspiring dreams. Magnificent.
Thank you, Gianluca.

You don't know what euphoria is until you see polish pianists when they found about this piece

My favourite part is the last beat of bar 19 with the Ab in the bass. Such a beautiful modulation!

I have studied this style music, and know around 1900 in New York city, sheet music editors were publishing patchwork compositions of Romantic composers' works, sometimes taking sections from unfinished manuscripts and sewing them together with sections of other works.
The original score has "Chopin" written where the title goes, which may suggest this was an exercise in composing a Chopin 'sounding' piece. This piece quotes mazurkas already written, and follows a few other distinctive motions from a polonaise, a nocturne, and a couple of the waltzes. At most, it displays knowledge of Chopin's material and is probably bits patchworked together (really close together); and not what I feel to be another original piece by my buddy Freddy.

Puedo sentir llorar mi alma y luego volver a la calma, siento la nostalgia de Chopin...necesitaba esa música...es la más apropiada en este momento para mí. Gracias, ahora también he de interpretarla.

If he wrote that for someone... it was Edgar Allen Poe.

"Sketch of a Waltz or Mazurka fragment" would be the title I'd give it.

Há, nessa pequena obra, mais poesia do que em todo o funk brasileiro de todos os tempos.
