I’m a gay guy and I’m neither old nor young. But when I was young I would put on my sister’s or mother’s dresses. That annoyed them but I liked it and it was fun, probably because I’m gay. If I were a kid today I might be in a hospital in pre-op. I am so glad that my Mom just said, “Cut that out” and not “Cut that off.”

Detrans regret is, ironically, additional evidence for gender dysphoria! Whether the source of suffering is the disconnect between the mind and the body as born or as medically altered, it is basically the same thing. It is fundamentally inconsistent to take seriously gender dysphoria for one group and not the other. In fact, given that our best knowledge currently points to a large portion, if not a great majority of people who experience gender dysphoria eventually becoming comfortable with their bodies, we are quite probably creating far more people who will suffer lifelong gender dysphoria by fast tracking medical transition than under the previous "watchful-waiting" approach, that would only transition people whose dysphoria was severe and persistent.

I have always received more hatred, negativity and judgement from my own community than anyone else. It’s incredibly disappointing what has happened to the LGBT community. The bullying and harassment has always been there. They just aren’t ashamed to do it out loud now.

i’m a detrans female and the amount of hate and threats i have gotten from trans activists is insane. the trans friends i had at the time shunned me, and many even wished death upon me. it isn’t even just trans activists, the doctors and therapists turn on you too.

Urinary issues, mastectomy, and you’re right - the most depressing part is the potential infertility. I’ve been off T for 5 years and unable to get pregnant. They say you should be able to stop it whenever and be able to conceive without issue and that clearly isn’t the case for everyone

We can start with ditching gender “affirming” therapy and going back to the usual diagnosis process. If I go to doctor and ask for opioids, the doctor doesn’t start the session “affirming” that I need drugs. And going to an activist doctor is like a young girl going to a witch who believes in human sacr!f!ce.

when detransitioners tell their stories, and get attacked or it, they are being attacked for THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCES... let that sink in, especially since that's the buzz word these activist types like to throw out when they themselves want to shut other people up. most detransitioners aren't looking for activism themselves, they're just putting their stories out there.
and when you're told "these people only detransitioned because they weren't getting the support ad acceptance, they'd still be trans if they did", consider what is being said...
