This is a fun ride and great for people who don't like drops on rollercoasters, because it has no drops, just speed.
Don't be put off by it's appearance and go ride it!

To me it just looks like a really fast water slide turned into a roller coaster LOL, compared to some of the other rides it doesn't seem that scary, is it?

I really love this ride. When I went here a few weeks ago, I went on this ride about 4-5 times it was that great. The thrill is awesome. Love it, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, you're the best!

Edit: It is a shame that it is quite small and doesn't last long though.

0:48 The great thing about this ride is that it keeps accelerating until almost the very end. Experiencing a ride that is continually accelerating is very exciting indeed.
Most rollercoasters start off fast (after the big drop) and gradually get slower, so the effect of speed wears off. But rides like Avalance that get faster and faster really give you a thrill. The biggest issue with Avalanche is it's over too quickly, but it's great while you're on it.
Nemesis at Alton Towers is another ride that does this, it's a bit of a unicorn because it's a proper rollercoaster yet it doesnt really have a 'big' drop, but it's been designed so that it keeps accelerating for the first 50% of the ride. Those are my kind of thrill rides as Im not really a fan of big drops.

Haha I remember going on that thing last year. It was me and 4 mates... and you are meant to go in pairs of two. I drew the short straw and ended up on my own. So me being the Klutz I am got in the front... With no one behind me and no back rest I spent most of the ride practically lying down flat and nearly slipping out of the harness. Great ride but if anyone goes on it fill from the back first XD
