The USGS Biological Threats and Invasive Species Program will present a series of talks that tell the story of a Biological Threat Surveillance tool. These talks will highlight projects that demonstrate great examples of tools that are in use or nearing the use stage. We hope these talks will stimulate ideas in the audience and spark ideas for potential collaborations for new Bio-Threat Surveillance tools. Each presentation will give a “life history of the project” (how it started, the journey it took, original objectives, current status, and vision for the tool), demonstrate functionality of the tool, and, where applicable, include examples and success stories of how it has been used.
