Lol it's like she's threatening you with a gun, she puts more pressure on you than Duolingo 💀.

I’m learning Spanish. I think I need your mom as a teacher.
She’s motivating

Every conversation I have with my Italian mum is like this. Every. Single. One. It's like an English teacher correcting you while you're talking to them

As a Mexican, I can perfectly relate to the concept of your mom sounding angry in every sentence they say

Her mum sounded like a strict language teacher. That emphasis on the pronunciation. Wow.

I realize her mom might come off as being a bit harsh, but I think she really does appreciate that her kid is trying to speak her native language

The switch between Spanish and the hard drop back into your American accent for the odd word is so jarring in the best way 😂😂😂

I think it's wonderful that she's actively teaching you her language. So lovely

As a Mexican, I can confirm she sounds EXACTLY like a Mexican Mom

😂😂😂 Mom didn't sound angry to me, lol. She just sounded like a formal Spanish teacher. I have taken a lot of years of Spanish and every teacher sounds like this to help you hear all the syllables & letters involved.

To this day native Spanish speakers still talk a mile a minute to my ear when speaking Spanish so it's extremely difficult to hear all the syllables & sounds in EVERY word. I tend to be able to understand due to context clues given in the parts my ear does catch & understand.

I gotta get immersed in a Spanish speaking culture at some point though if I'm going to get to translator level like I really want to because learning to speak Spanish in America has not been cutting it.

If my mom corrected me every time I speak Spanglish we wouldn’t be able to have a conversation ever 😭

When she said retainers she sounded so Mexican American or chicana. I love it, don't be embarrassed of your accent.

I love how she basically just said "screw it" and just spoke in English "they didn't grow right"🤣🤣

That’s the worst because, since they’re the elders you can’t correct them on their English. Otherwise, la chancla. 😅😂

This is what Hispanic mothers really sound like when they teach their children.

I confirm.

For the people who corrected me that I should put Hispanic not Latina, I will change it. I am Hispanic - Latina, I am from Honduras and I actually live here, so the joke is that most Hispanic moms when they are teaching you something and you say it wrong, they correct you annoyed or irritated as the video shows, not that my mom teaches me Spanish. Because it's my mother tongue.
