WAS I SCAMMED $300 FOR A FALLOUT BOBBLEHEAD?!

$300 for a Fallout bobblehead?! I know it sounds crazy.. but I am a sucker for Fallout 3 merchandise and anything rare I can possibly add to my Fallout collection. The seller claims this is a rare Prototype Fallout 3 bobblehead. It looks ALMOST identical to the Collectors Edition bobblehead EXCEPT it’s not made of plastic, it’s resin and the lettering and numbers are raised and not decals printed on. I makes me think this could be an actual prototype for the Fallout 3 Collectors Edition Bobblehead but I’ve been scammed before.. It could just be a bootleg Bobblehead.. But I want to know what do you think???

The only things that were diffrent is the "prototype" had a neck and the uniform had a smaller 101 print

Check the bottom of it, is it serialized? If it is, check the serial. If it has a serial number, and it pops up when you Google it, then yeah you got scammed. But if it has a serial number, and it does not pop up when you Google it, you might actually have something there. Prototypes of media, then pop culture products, are often serialized, but when you go to Google the serial they won't pop up in Google. The reason being, is because they still have to keep track of the prototyped item, but they also have no reason to disclose any of the information of a prototype item to the public. If it doesn't have a serial number, it could still possibly be a prototype, however the unlikelihood of that is still in the realm of possibility. There's a lot of prototypes out in the world that are not serialized, however there's also not really a way to tell. The only way that you're going to be able to tell, is if there's a specialist on the particular product, which for a Fallout bobblehead I assure you there's probably not, but maybe a bobblehead specialist can actually tell you if it's a prototype or if it's just a hunk of junk, those guys are usually more about like the sports bobbleheads though. The only other way to tell, is to get in touch with whoever the manufacturer would be, and ask them, and manufacturers really don't give a f*** if you have one other prototypes, they only care if you have like their factory equipment, so those straight up tell you the truth.

If it is a prototype then it shouldnt be expected to be the same as the final, prototypes usually gave somewhat sloppy paint to try and get a mockup product to show to the big execs for final product approval
