I've been repo-in for 23 years The average human that will have there vehicle repo'd has no shame on how they keep up there vehicle, never has. Maintenance is optional the body is always dented up the inside looks like a dumpster this also is the way there life is as well

Buying an auction car is a major gamble and usually you loose. People trash these cars and do no maintenance. I car with over 100k miles that’s a repossession might as well have 300k miles on it. Better off looking for a private party sales

A former friend (now a tweaker) let a guy go back into a helicopter he was repossessing, the guy ripped out the control panel and booked it out of there.

I don't understand the negative attitude. Nobody forces you to buy these cars. I'd say the market is great if you're looking for clean title rebuilders or parts cars at low prices. That the owners damaged them before they got repo'd is on the dealers and lenders for making loans to sketchy people. If you got someone agreeing to pay $300 a month on a 60 month loan for an $8000 Hyundai, you know they will probably jack up the car when they stop paying after the third month.

I like to buy a repo car or truck . if can get at a good price. fix it up don't bother me.

Don’t people realize that when the repo is trashed and brings less at the auction it just makes the balance you still owe higher?
