We did this 50 years ago. Why is it going to take another two and a half years to do something we were able to do fifty years ago I don't understand. Technology's got nothing but better, so what is the issue. We should be able to do this quicker. In my opinion.

Why are they not using the ISS as a departure/return point?
Send up modules to ISS connect them alongside ISS. Send the astronauts upto work on connecting the modules and depart from there. Return to ISS where returning to the Earth is common place
