From La Honda Records & Two Bridges Film comes the first in a new series called Western AF Presents. Highlighting new documentaries that feature music, culture, and art that focus on “Staying Western in Your Own Way."

Featured in this beautiful film is country music's best kept secret and La Honda recording artist, Riddy Arman. She released her debut album in 2021 and filmmaker Keenan O'Reilly captured the essence of Riddy's raw humanity shortly after the record's release. Filmed in the beautiful Montana landscape that Riddy calls home, the documentary follows her experience writing and releasing the record but also the land that inspired many of the songs she wrote.
The film positions Riddy at the beginning of her career as a songwriter and offers viewers a glimpse into her personality, creating a stage from the emotional impact of her grounded yet eloquent writing. As a voice already compared to country legends like Johnny Cash and Neko Case, this a portrait of a young artist at the beginning of her career.

Riddy stands as a testament to what we love about the underground music scene. It's truly an honor to see someone at the beginning of their career blossom into a respected and loved recording artist.

I've been a big Riddy fan since the first time she gutted me with WAF's video of "Spirits, Angels or Lies". It is a hard act to follow a raw-ish emotional sound like that with an album. Much heavier on instrumentals, the cadence of the songs changing, etc. Riddy has a sound people want to hear and lyrics many need to hear. Best wishes with the pregnancy Riddy, can't wait to see you back on tour and look forward to the next album.
