Tutorial: Diode I-V Characteristics in Proteus using DC Sweep Graph.

Learn how to connect the schematic ready for using the DC Sweep Graph. We will also show you how to clip and use the graphs produced in your documentation / reports / coursework.

We shall use a 1N4001 General Purpose Rectifier Diode to show the Forward Bias characteristics of a PN Silicon diode.

The book showing the Diode I-V Characteristics at the start of the video is 'Fundamentals of Electronics Devices' by Ronald J. Tocci. This copy was the 1970 edition. Even though it is over 50 years since publishing the topics covered are still valid. I've had this particular book for about 25 years.

Hi sir, I have a doubt. I want to illustrate the VI characteristics of diode in proteus. But the problem is I want to plot the graph as Id VS Vd (ie. diode current vs diode voltage) in the same graph with resistor in the circuit. I have referred lot of videos regarding this but I haven't got the crt explanation. Can you please help me with this. ( I AM VERY NEW TO THIS SOFTWARE).

I've done everything correctly, but why is my graph showing straight line horizontally?
