Dear Marie Diop,

You are absolutely correct - this example is a AAA-3 argument, NOT a AAA-2, which makes it invalid, . Thank you so much for catching this mistake. My bad. But now you and I both know that you understand this perfectly. I'll post an annotation in the video. Thanks again!

I have read my chapter 3 times, struggling to make sense of the material. I just watched your 5.1 & 5.2 videos, and you put everything into perspective for me. You have such a wonderful way of explaining everything, and I cannot thank you enough!!

Thank You for this video, it was extremely informative and helpful. I'm currently using the same book for an online class (I wasnt able to register for the in class portion) I read and read the material over and sometimes I just need a visual example done. I wish I had found your videos ahead of time.

Thank you very much for this video. It really helped me understand the material in the textbook (I'm using Hurley's book too).
I feel more optimistic about doing well in the class. :)

Do you have a video explaining "why" the moods are are assigned to specific syllogisms. I'm better at abstract concepts explained then memorizing what is valid as such.

Your videos are very helpful. For the first time i got confused with one of the examples you did, on this video at 25:34( the first example). My answer was different for the figure. I concluded that it is figure 3. Is it possible that you have mistaken? Again thanks for these very detailed videos :)

Thank you so much! I have a quick question where would the term 'this' call. In the 'all' category or 'some'. Ex: All chickens have feathers. This animal has feathers. So this animal is a chicken

hello, professor Thorsby
I just want to know if you made any videos about soundness unsoundness,  validity invalidity, and true or false.
because I always get mixed up with those and I really want to get it once and for all.

Thank you.
And your videos are really helpful

HI~Professor Thorsby!I have a question on a Standard Form Categorical Syllogism.
I have to translate the question into standard form but I'm not sure about the answer.
The question :Although each and every belief produced by reason is impossible to influence a person’s will and actions by itself, we cannot deny that at least some moral beliefs are capable of exerting such influence. Therefore the saying that some moral beliefs are produced by reason is incorrect.
My answer is
All m are p
Some s are m
Some s are p
I'm not sure if I get the correct answer. Thanks for you help!

What I like to do to remember the Figures is simply put my Thumbs knuckle to knuckle in front of my face, creating a  \||/ shape. Great videos!

20:46 I thought unconditional refers to categorical and conditional is boolean? My whole life was a lie?
