American Airlines Announces Leadership Succession Plan

Doug Parker and Robert Isom talk to the American Airlines team about the upcoming CEO transition. Isom will become CEO on March 31, 2022, and Parker will continue as chairman.

Congratulations on your promotion! As a long-term AA member (I've flown AA since it was Piedmont Airlines in the 1970s. Further, since I joined the loyalty program I'm flown 723, 093 miles) I hope you will return the loyalty program to it's former excellent level of service. Today, one has to navigate many "tricks" to be able to get decent service from AA, and to use AA points. In the past few years....if I'd had a chance to move to another airline I would have welcomed it. It's just so dang disappointing to see AA not keep up with Delta or other superior airlines in terms of quality and service. Today there are way to many obstacles to using your loyalty points.

Delta and United points don't have expiration date. I recently check and learned that I lost all my accumulated points with AA because was not able to fly for a while yet they asked me for loyalty.

You could make it easier to get good options to use the Rewards, rather than having 3 stops when a non-stop is available, as well as expiring points. Time to catch up!

Good Carter will be gone, not that soon enough! Cant say anything about Isom however wont expect much because he is following his bosses footsteps !! AA is a awful airline in terms of service and in every aspect. !!! Havent flown with them for over 3 years and I am happy about it

These airlines are so ready to throw people off the flight. Need more diversity training. If they don't like your question, you are off the plane. Some are so nasty, I hate getting on a plane. You feel like you just sit and don't ask for anything. I know they're over worked. But do they have to be so rude.
