Sakuna used a binding vow to fire off a world cutting slash without any incantation, hand sign, nor any other windup to catch Gojo completely by surprise. In exchange moving forward Sakuna to use an incantation, hand sign, and point is palm in the direction he wants the world cutting slash the go in. So Gojo lost to a very cheap binding vow that he couldn’t have predicted because Gege wrote himself into a corner.

Sukuna didnt need to chant his world cutting slash and gojo isnt aware of a world cutting slash so he was caught off guard

As far as I can remember, Sukuna used a binding vow to use a wcs without chants and signs only against Gojo which means after using it on Gojo he HAS to use the chants and signs to charge up and execute the wcs giving the opp enough time to react. Basically, Gojo was so OP that Sukuna had to compromise the future use of one of his strongest techniques only to kill him.

Wasnt it stated sukuna used a binding vow to permanently have extra requirements for his wcs but it allowed him to skip them that first time against gojo, also Gojo didn't dodge because why would he sukunas techniques could never hit him before

No... the dumbest mistake was that, a guy that could teleport long distances and spam long range attacks during a barrier-less domain, decided to stand there and entertain Sukuna or worse, try to clash with his own domain.

Knowing full well that he could just leave the range for like 20 seconds and come back when Sukuna's CT is on cooldown and then expand his own Domain catching him off guard and ending it.

Sukuna's plot armour is insane, because you would imagine that Gojo is smart enough to actually use such a strategy.

Gojo could have never killed Sukuna, he was going to only bring him closed to death. Remember, his ultimate goal was to save Megumi, through Yuji's soul punches. Gojo's job was to weaken Sukuna. Why? Because he never went for Sukuna's head, he was always crushing his other important organs. (Like heart, liver, Lungs - these could be healed latter with RCT.) So, Sukuna was holding back his techniques against Gojo while Gojo was holding back his kill against Sukuna.
