We have a year old washer & dryer, I’ve checked all these spots and yet every week about half of our pairs are missing a match. Our single sock bag has been growing exponentially

when i was in the army we all shared the laundry room in the barracks, Slowly but surly i noticed my socks were going missing and i just bought a new bag, within 2 months i had maybe 3-4 pairs vs 15 i had. So i asked my roommate in a joking and serious tone "bro which dirty motherfucker is stealing my socks!!" he laughed and said "my man I've been wonder the same thing!".
i shared a bathroom with another room and he had people over at his room, I'm guessing i said that loud and had the next room cracking up and came through the bathroom to relate on who the sock thieves are! now i live with my wife! GEUSS WHAT?! my sock are STILL disappearing and every Christmas and birthday i get a 12 pack!!! to make it more amusing my brother lives upstairs and he just asked me recently if i seen any of his socks, and i just gave him the o"l tap on the shoulder saying "there long gone my guy"
