Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 'review'

I know what you're going to say – if it's all wheel drive, it's not a city car but should be used in the mud. But people have long now wanted bigger SUVs, so crossovers which they can take to the shops and drive their kids to school with. If it also has all wheel drive, it gives it prestigiousness to brag to your neighbour with.

The beauty of the Suzuki SX4-Scross is that it can do both. Comfortable city driving to the shops as well as get down into the nitty gritty of mud, snow and light off-roading with its drive and agility.

I've always owned toyotas and nissans (currentrly landcruiser) but every time I drive my moms and sister's suzukis I feel the happiest!!! Those cars are built with a lot of awareness.

Great car! I own a 2018 1.4 turbo S Cross SX5 automatic. It really puts a smile on your face!

The old small xs4 sold in north America, after more than 10 years they look like New, a perfect AWD for the price and durability. I hope they can bring them back.

Very well made review, professionally filmed and I like your English. Your review adds to my conviction, that my choice to buy new S-Cross as 4x4 crossover was really good. I was making up my mind which car to buy for last 5 months, taking under consideration many S-Cross' rivals. And my conclusion is that this little crossover, in direct comparison, beats even more luxury 2017 Mazda CX-5 at many points, like: 1, 4 petrol engine's performance, 4WD efficiency, automatic gearbox, also by lower weight, price, fuel consumption... and some other details (engine at high revs is quieter, hooks for shopping bags in the trunk, knee airbag, value for money) To remain objective, it should be admitted that CX-5 beats S-cross by better interior quality (premium feel), trunk capacity, design and more electric & electronic systems at top trims. But from the other hand, all of those systems make CX-5 more vulnerable to malfunction and lifts it's price up. Besides not everyone really needs so many extras.

I'm so mad at Suzuki for pulling out of North America. wife and I bought a 2010 SX4 and would gladly trade it in for this 2017 model.

Nice review. Which one would you recommend. S-cross 1.4 Boosterjet or Mitsubishi ASX 1.6 petrol?

Driving at 50 km/h is indeed quite comfortable, but when you hit the highway, you're suddenly facing a lot of issues:

- severe crosswind noise at only 120 km/h
- no sound insulation against road noise, wind noise, tyre roll
- crosswind is sucking the doors away from the frame due to weak door seals
- glass is too thin, hence even more road and wind noise inside the car
- front seats are too stiff and very uncomfortable, especially for longer journeys
- very stiff side seat support (the one closer to the door) is poking into your butt and hamstring
- headrest is forcing your head into a bowed position
- no DAB+ radio (only FM/AM)
- poor FM reception (weak FM antenna)
- cheap speakers (sound system has artificial bass and no dynamics)
- 2 years old SAT NAV data with no option for (free) update
- indoor ventilation (fan) is too loud even at the lowest speed
- annoying silver frame air vent reflection in side rear mirrors
- fuel tank has only 47 L capacity

Good car. But, what type of automatic transmission has? I hope it is not a CVT.

This is not the biggest ski jump hill in the world. The biggest one is Vikersundbakken in Norway, which also have the currently world record ski jump at 253, 5m

well, that is one gorgeous car, and good economy too, wonder though how the 1.4 will in rougher situations!

Should I buy Scross or Brezza [both Diesel]? Both have 1253cc engine. Scross has hybrid power extra. Which should I go for? Or any other car in this segment with +-1L?
