How to Fix Betaflight USB Connection Errors ⭐

Since I literally get this question EVERY day, I might as well make a video about how I get around this problem. Note, this is what works for ME. Yes, there are other ways to fix this problem like with many things, more than one way to tackle a problem...

Another thing that's very important is that some usb cables don't work... Ones that are for charging only don't work. Swap cables before pulling hair out.

Thank you so much for this Albert. I could not flash new firmware on my HGLRC f425. I tried Zadig with no luck. I tried the new driver that frequent flier talks about. I had to use impulse rc driver fix. Thank fully it was so easy to use, Im not good with computers. Just a few clicks. ImpulseRC Driver Fixer was the answer to all my problems, fixed the driver I was having issues with & put me into DFU mode automagically so I could flash the firmware. Thank you sir. -Tiny Hawk II

When in zadig I don't see stm321 in the list of devices I have down loaded every driver listed in inav. Any advice would be helpful

You need to make sure in Zadig you see STM32 bootloader NOT STM32 Virtual COM port. Typically you will see bootloader show up when you hold the button down on the FC and plug in USB.
1. Open Zadig
2. Choose Options > List All Devices
3. Select STM32 BOOTLOADER in the device list
4. Choose WinUSB (v6.x.x.x) in the right hand box
5. Click Replace Driver
6. Restart Chrome (make sure it is completely closed, logout and login if unsure)
7. Now the DFU device should be seen by Configurator

When I do the part at 3:00 and install WinUSD and after look in Device Manager the FC shows up in the Universal Serial Bus Device list. This is not normal, right?

MEGA LIKE! thanks! I was depressed already because of these boring drivers problems. The Impulse driver fixer helped, the only thing - ir made com14 which was not working, but it start working after unplug and plug again the FC. Thanks.

Wow! Started checking my USB cables and that was the problem. Guys if you've installed all the drivers and are getting connection errors, check your USB cables first. A data cable that I got from Amazon for connecting my Android cellphone to my computer hooked me up to Betaflight the very first time I plugged it in. Set me up on COM 3 immediately. Thanks to Dobermandan for the heads up on this issue and to Albert for this video. Also thanks to Albert for helping me setup my new ET115 V2 with my Jumper T12 Plus in his other video on that subject.
