Khun always said he was scouted for his visuals....but his piano background no doubt was an asset since you do need to have a good sense of rhythm and feel when singing/dancing. Judging from his technique it's obvious this guy was classically trained as a kid and learned to play to a very high standard for someone who isn't a professional pianist.
