Let's Bake ART is the cookbook written by the journalist Mariapia Bruno (on June 8, 2016) which contains 79 recipes created by artists, for the most unpublished: a journey through the tables of great painters, sculptors and photographers of the present and the past, leading to the discovery not only their works, but also their dishes.

Let’s Bake ART drives the reader through a journey full or art reminiscences: from Picasso’s cubist Chocolate Charlotte, to Frida Kahlo’s Mexican recipes, full of vibrant colors and spicy tastes, from Monet’s desserts, to the favorite’s dishes of Steve McCurry. And more, from Man Ray’s Potlagel, an appetizer prepared in a microwave, to Paul Cézanne Anchoiade, a recipe from Provence that the artist pretended to eat every day in his studio.

Reading Let’s Bake ART is easy and funny, and allows to better know some artists' private sides. The book contains pictures of different artworks and portraits of famous masters and contemporary artists, with many comments and notes. The cover expresses the magic atmosphere you can breath in a kitchen: quiet, wellness, beauty and art.

“Let’s Bake ART is not only a book for art lovers and chefs” says Mariapia in the Introduction. “It is addressed to single people, to families, to friends and couple that want to try and taste something new and original. It is perfect for parents that want to tell their children how Van Gogh was able in cooking and not only in painting sunflowers. It is perfect for art history students bored to study always the same things: they will be happy to know that Georgia O’Keeffe was not only a progressive woman, but also a wonderful cook in love with spinach. It is perfect also for people that hate cooking: maybe the idea of artists’ recipes can change their mind”.

Mariapia Bruno collected and cooked all the recipes. The readers can watch the video-recipes on the You Tube Channel Let’s Bake ART: the QR Code is in the firsts page of the book.
