[MIDAS Expert Webinar Series] Case Study of Integral Bridge Structure

Bridges are integral part of any infrastructure project which are key to the growth of local community. Our case study topic for the webinar would be a bridge structure in Forder Valley Link road, which is a proposed one kilometre link between William Prance road in Derriford and the Forder Valley road/Novorossiysk road junction in Plymouth.
 
The new link road will help reduce journey times to and from key destinations. This major new infrastructure will be a key to unlocking growth in the north of Plymouth, where 4,300 new homes and a new district development of shops and community, leisure and health facilities are planned over the next 15 years.
 
This webinar uses Forder Valley bridge structure as an example and shows how MIDAS Civil can be used in analysing UK’s one of the longest integral bridge structure - 4 numbers of 35.0m equal span precast prestress concrete deck. The webinar will also focus on various construction stages which is crucial for an integral bridge analysis.
