Here's the problem with this advice--you are applying lipstick NEXT TO your skin color, not ON it. You are applying lipstick ON your LIP, which is darker than your skin and so distorts how the shade looks on you. How has no one figured this out and taken it into account???

It should also mention the undertone. Just because someone is fair or dark doesn’t mean same colour works on them. You have to mention undertone. (12 seasonal colour analysis)

I guess darker skin don’t exist. Rhiannas bright red liquid lipstick called “stunna” looks beautiful on me and I’m this color🖐🏾, it also looks gorgeous on darker complexion 🖐🏿💋

For darker skin tones I would get a more orangey red or dark red❤️ (I am mixed black and Puerto Rican so what works for me may not work for you)

This isn't entirely true. As a cool, I'd never look good in an orange based red. It would have to be a blue base. We need to pay attention to the hue of our skin, not just the tone.
