Google's New AI Image Generator Is Mind-blowing! Google Imagen 3 Tutorial & Comparison!

Google's Imagen 3 is out and you can try it right now on Image FX. In this video, I'll briefly discuss Google's latest text-to-image model and showcase some images generated with this AI.

Then, I'll compare Imagen 3 with Flux.1, a free and open-source model that can rival Midjourney and any other model currently available!

According to Google, Imagen 3 is their highest quality text-to-image model yet. It's capable of generating images with even better detail, richer lighting, and fewer distracting artifacts than their previous models.

People are complaining about Imagen 3 because it has LOTS of censorship.
Then, when they evaluate it, they consider it inferior to other models due the lack of freedom in image generation.
But judging a model by its artificially imposed limitations instead of judging the technical advancements it brings is a quite shallow way to think about it.
I'm pretty satisfied, and since I use it to produce illustration for my characters and locations (I'm a fantasy/sci-fi amateur writer), it works flawlessly. OK, OK, sometimes it complains about my prompts but I am learning how to avoid these censorship filters - mostly because in my images the filters refer just to sets of problematic words and not the images themselves, so, all I need is to choose another words and voila!

Imagen3 I've found to be a Terrific tool, it's prompt- fidelity immediately obvious. I can't comment for MJ, as I've never used it, but compared to Dalle3, the scope, while still given to kickbacks from censorship, is far lighter than Dalle3 's police state threats, plus the ubiquitous bloody dog. having a thorough knowledge of creative English seems to be the way forward. In fact it's an enjoyable challenge, the depth of language versus algorithmic intransigence.

I think flux is way better than imagen 3 and it's so much restricted and not available in all countries it's available for free in USA only even with vpn i can't bypass the restriction.

I have been using Imagen 3 for a month now and I am not happy with it. It does not follow directions well at all. Maybe one in five images follows directions -- it does not seem to understand text very well at all. Maybe in a year or two it will follow directions accurately, but right now (December 2024) it sucks. For example, it cannot show a man's face without a beard (for me) no matter how many times or how clearly I specify.
