Cleaning Wheels With EASY-OFF Oven Cleaner

I had some spare wheels that were old and dirty. Someone suggested I try oven cleaner to remove caked up brake dust. Well I tried it and results are amazing!

I just did mines and ended up with a white/ dull residue that isn’t going away…
How can I neutralize the acid (maybe it is the cause), any idea what next step would be, thanks.

I bought these round headed brushes that go on my drill. What do you think about that?

DO NOT use on anything that has a gloss finish... because it won't after this.
