We travel in our truck and this movie hit so many nerves. The cold nights. The knock. The bucket. The catastrophic flat. And amazingly this movie seemed to capture something we've always had trouble showing and explaining to others... that sense of oneness you have with the big open skies and mountains and deserts. It may seem your home is tiny, but when you live like this, your home is the world.

I have to say... this idea... these folks... more or less saved me at a dark time. I'm not living the life, but I am respectful of and admiring of it. I was shown that there are alternatives. And, that made all the difference.

I bought a home in AZ after divorcing my X husband. But, I needed more from my life. I bought a Chevy 3500 15 passenger van. Me along with a guy companion, converted this van. We were very comfortable, we had a queen sized platform bed, a Dometic refrigerator, 4 solar panels on our roof, shelving along the ceiling (for our clothes) a Max fan and much much more. We traveled the USA for 6 months. I would’ve loved to have stayed out there, but I was sick and had to go back home. This wasn’t a dismal life for me. I’d do it again

Sure I speak for a lot of vanners, you feel life more strong in a van. The cold, the beauty, heat, happiness... I cant do it in winter in Europe but most of the summer there's no place I'd rather this film is sooo evocative. It's a work of art.

Pretty accurate movie of the largest and most prolific group of Nomads. There's more than one of these sub cultures in this community though. We've been full time Nomads since 2015 but we camp just outside of these circles. Good movie though. thumbs up.

No crapping in a bucket for me. My idea of the van life is a Motel 6. Nothing can convince me living on the road is nirvana. I don't and won't buy it. I have traveled all over the country and the world, and one thing is a constant. I am always happy when I get home.
