Docker and Bioconductor, Delivering containerized open-source genomic data analysis software

Did you miss the Docker Community All-Hands on December 9, 2021?

Bioconductor is an open-source project that builds software for the analysis of high-throughput genomic data, primarily in the R programming language. We host over 2000 software packages that analyze complex genomic data, and they require complex dependencies for usage. Docker alleviates this issue for Bioconductor, by helping us distribute images which pre-build dependencies, produce production ready package binaries, and an analysis suite in R for our users. This talk will briefly describe the improved usage of Bioconductor for our users after using Docker for analysis of data and also education purposes.
