I have just been publicly shamed and called out by an ex student after I posted something about this on my FB page. I was called intolerant, a bigot and someone who should be ashamed of myself because I have no doubt taught trans students in my 30 year career. I was invited to join the modern world and change my views. I’m a great teacher and yes, I currently do teach trans kids, with whom I have a terrific, supportive relationship. But I’ll be damned if I think that this situation at the Olympics is in any way fair or correct.

Even if trans competitors testosterone levels are suppressed at time of competition, that didn't prevent them from benefiting from male hormones while maturing, developing denser bones/ muscles and larger heart/ lungs.
This built-in biological advantage is why there's seperate men's sports and women's sports in the first place !

As a former female kickboxer and survivor of domestic violence from a man. I can tell you from first hand experience, even a small man can punch so hard you see stars or become unconscious. A man with professional training, you would have no chance against. I felt sick to my stomach seeing this! Will it take a woman losing her life to a man in sport for things to change!
